Hello! Today is Thursday, and I was able to get two photos thru so far. The first is Madina's crib, number 3. There are 12 cribs to a room, with 2 caregivers. The second photo is Natasha with Madina. Natasha is our translator, and one of Zhanna's "new best friends". Today was a good day, we got some great news, that our court date has been moved up to April 18 instead of April 21, so we will apparently be leaving Karaganda earlier than expected, probably right after court. We will need to spend several days in Almaty making arrangements for the baby to come home. That apparently involves going to the consulate and arranging temporary Visas until the baby becomes a citizen, which happens as soon as the baby hits ground in the USA. We will probably not be able to come home any earlier than scheduled, as our plane tickets are for April 24, but we will keep you posted. The weather has been wonderful, according to the reports it will be 18 degrees celcius tomorrow...what ever that means!!

Glad to hear things are going smoothly. Jeff and Chet say hello
Just letting you know how very much I am enjoying your blog. The pics are great and of course Madina is beautiful! Glad to hear everything is going smoothly. I'm taking notes as I wait my turn.

Hey
Madina looks like she is getting longer!! glad to hear that your court date is moved up! Even if you can't leave any earlier it is good to have extra time in Almaty to get all of your paperwork done. We only had less than a day to fly in, get to the consulate (we almost didn'tmake it.. our driver was pulled over for doing a u turn and the started arguing with the police! YIKES!!!)
Have you been able to take a picture of the Termitau sign (have you even seen one??!!)
How is that shopping going? You probably haven't been able to do much.... going to the baby home 2 x daily is exhausting!!
chris and Colleen and the kids are coming over for dinner Saturday nite- we are going to have a pre-season bbq and then let the kids bounce on the bouncy bounce downstairs hoping to tire them out.
Tomorrow is the last day before Spring break.. looking forward to a few days off from school.
Hope you guys are staying well!

Finally. I was beginning to wonder if everything was all right. Love the snowsuit! Maybe you have started a tradition.
Katy is the only child we met there that we were told needed air. Can you imagine? They actually did the unthinkable. The doctor opened a window and held her in front of it and waved the wind into her face! Apparently this is a cure for a cranky child, which Katy certainly was. (All along they kept asking if we wanted to see another child.) We were even encourage to take her outside everyday. OK we were there in July, but not everyone was getting the full outside treatment.
Hope you can get home a little earlier. I'm sure Z would like to see her toys again.
The weather here has turned sour again just in time for school vacation. We did have a beautiful day yesterday and were able to go get our first ice cream cone of the season.
Enjoy your remaining time and think about a nice big dinner for when you get home.

The snowsuit is the unofficial official CAH coming home suit. Chloe and Vika both wore it home and now Madina will. So cute.
Still no good news on my end. Chloe is choosing the therapists over me, the RAD stuff seems to be getting worse. I am at my wits end. I called our early intervention coordinator today to tell her to stop all therapies at the house and we only want them at daycare. I am sick of fighting for my kids' love with strangers!
So far Caden hasnt bitten at daycare in 11 days but is still on probation. So everytime the phone rings, I dont want to answer it thinking they are kicking him out permanently.
Looking forward to some time at the Penmans tomorrow. And to you coming home bringing good news. I swear the only thing keeping me happy these days is reading your posts and seeing you all so happy.
Chris
I just emailed you that your blog wasn't working but alas it is!!
Just to set the record straight!!- The pink snow suit was bought in Kaz at the Snow white-pseudo disney - higher prices than NYC -store in Kaz when we were there to get Victoria. She was brought home on October 1- a fine Indian summer day at JFK. When I took her from th escort's arms she almost slipped out of my hands because the snow suit was so slipperly and the poor kid was sweating like there was no tomorrow.
Fast forward to Chris and Collenn- we were honored to send the snowsuit, sumo wrestling suit aka Michelin baby costume suit with them so Chloe wouldn't freeze her buns off!
The sweat machine snow suit is now back where it started with Christine so Madina can arrive warm and well!!
We would love to continue the tradition of the traveling snow suit. So if you need a snow suit please let me know and you can borrow it too..Remember to take pics of the babies in it (and give me a copy) I would love to include these in Vika's lifebook.
so there you have it the "official" story of the pink snow suit!!! (LOL)
okay.. i really need to get back to work.. I just stopped at home on my lunch hour to get my Madina fix!!
